Every year on New Year's Eve Pratt breaks out the steam organ and creates a cacophony for the community. This year on Dec 11th they broke it out of storage to work out the kinks. Kids were just getting out of Saturday Art classes and went nuts in the steam

RIP Don Van Vliet! RIP RIP RIP.
This is just flat out magical...you hold your iPhone running Word Lens up to some text in, say, Spanish, and you'll automatically see it translated into English.

Holy future.
Lined Numerals A limited set of these numerals was created for the BUR 60 Anni 367 Copertine book cover. Once the book went to print, I thought it would be fun to make the full set of proportional old-style figures. I've always had a thing for stylish numbers so you may see more of these in the future.Date: Summer 2009

Crazy-nice numerals.
This is some great animation created with nothing but Google Docs.
The animation was created by Google Creative Lab's Varathit Uthaisri. Download the original Google Doc here.

“I wrote Satisfaction in my sleep,” Richards claims. “I had no idea I'd written it. It's only thank God for the little Philips cassette player.” It was a miracle, he says. “I knew I put a brand-new tape in the previous night.” The next morning when he went to work, “I saw it was at the end. Then I pushed ‘rewind’ and there was Satisfaction . . . and forty minutes of me snoring.”
I'm sleeping as I type this.
